Ojos del Salado is the world's highest active volcano, standing at approximately 6,893 meters (22,615 feet) above sea level. Located on the border between Chile and Argentina in the Andes Mountains, it is also known for having the highest permanent body of water, a crater lake, situated at an altitude of 6,390 meters (20,965 feet).
